Can’t afford a new 2018 BMW M5? Why not buy a carbon-fibre-infused M5-inspired bike?

That’s right. Always keen to build affordable transportation for the masses to enjoy, BMW has revealed its latest special-edition BMW lifestyle bike, and it takes inspiration from the German marque’s brand-new super sedan.

Catchily dubbed the BMW M Bike Limited Carbon Edition, the special new pushy is inspired by the all-new 441kW/750Nm 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8-powered 2018 BMW M5.

Mixing a hydro-formed aluminium frame with a carbon-fibre fork, seat post, and spacers, the BMW M Bike Limited Carbon Edition promises to mirror its four-wheeled stable mate in demonstrating “exceptional dynamics and agility”.

Limited to 500 units, the special edition bicycle is also finished in M5-matching Marina Bay Blue metallic paint, and features Continental tyres, Shimano disk brakes, and a “Limited Carbon Edition” badge and an accompanying certificate.

Available from “selected BMW dealers”, the BMW M Bike Limited Carbon Edition is priced at 1400 euro ($2000). Bargain… right?
