We can’t imagine how difficult this phone call was to make, when a transporter carrying ten supercars flipped near a motorsports facility in the UK
There are bad days at work, and there are really bad days at work.
No one was seriously injured, but ten supercars (well, nine supercars and a BMW 3 Series) and an articulated transporter have seen better days after this truck rolled near the Brands Hatch motorsport circuit, south east of London in the UK.
According to reports form local media outlet Kent Live, the transporter overturned shortly before 8pm last Wednesday after leaving the circuit. The cars, two Ferrari F430 Spiders, a Lamborghini Aventador, Aston Martin Vantage, Nissan GT-R, Audi R8, Jaguar F-Type Convertible, Mercedes-AMG GT, BMW 3 Series and Bentley Continental GT, were reportedly part of a drive-experience fleet.
Publisher, The Daily Mail, reports that the cars were owned and operated by Everyman Racing and were being moved from a day at Brands Hatch to prepare for another event at the Goodwood circuit in southern England, about 130km away.
On its Instagram account, the company praised the performance of the truck driver for avoiding any injury or impact with other road users, and joked they may have break out the cut-and-polish to help get the cars back on the road.
While the truck itself seems to be heavily damaged, the condition of the cars is largely unknown as most remained strapped to the trailers. However, the Aston Martin looks to have taken significant impact and the Bentley can be seen on its roof some way from the rest of the carnage, hinting at far more serious damage.
The incident occurred on the A20, a major arterial road near the circuit, which was closed for some time while the wreckage was cleared.
Here’s hoping the insurance paperwork was up to date!
