Post Malone – the third most-streamed artist on Spotify throughout the 2010s – has shown his love for the Ford F-150 Raptor high-performance pick-up by getting one illustrated as a neck tattoo.
US rapper Post Malone has taken his love of the Ford F-150 Raptor to the next level by getting a tattoo of the high-performance pick-up on his neck – before the vehicle is featured on the cover of his upcoming album.
In a post uploaded to Instagram by ‘The Raptor Connection’ – first spotted by Ford Authority – Post Malone was shown getting the tattoo which features the outline of an F-150 Raptor, complete with the pick-up’s raised ride height and wider wheel arches.
While the Ford F-150 Raptor might not be the first vehicle most think about when it comes to rappers and hip-hop artists – after years of Cadillac Escalades, Chevy Impala lowriders and blinged-up Mercedes-Benzs dominating the scene – Post Malone has previously outed himself as a pick-up lover.
In January 2019, the then-24-year-old artist took delivery of a Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 – a wild, six-wheeled version of the F-150 Raptor, complete with almost 450kW and 843Nm from its modified 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine.
The New York-born rapper also recently teased his upcoming fifth album – Austin, due to be released on July 28 – which features the outline of an F-150 Raptor on its cover.
Additional album artwork for Austin (below) – uploaded to Post Malone’s website – shows a previous-generation F-150 Raptor behind a bush, though it’s not clear whether the pick-up belongs to the artist.
While Ford Australia is due to bring the F-150 in local showrooms later this year, the Raptor is not on the cards to be imported – despite an “engineering evaluation vehicle” being spotted in Melbourne earlier this month. It turns out that vehicle was being used by Ford Australia engineers to conduct a round of tests on the F-150 Raptor on behalf of their colleagues in the US.
