Now in its 110th year, Aston Martin has revealed a special-edition coupe to mark the occasion, with retro looks, a twin-turbo V12, and a manual transmission. But it doesn’t come cheap.
The 2023 Aston Martin Valour has been unveiled overnight as a limited-edition model, celebrating the British sports-car firm’s 110th birthday.
Accordingly, just 110 examples will be produced by Aston Martin, with each Valour powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine producing 526kW and 753Nm – sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a mechanical limited-slip differential.
While not as powerful as the DBS 770 Ultimate unveiled in January 2023, the Valour gains an 11kW bump over the Vantage on which it’s based (with no change to torque) – suggesting it should offer a slightly better 0-100km/h time than the Vantage’s claim of 3.5 seconds.

However, Aston Martin says the Valour has been given bespoke suspension tuned specifically for the special-edition, which it claims gives the sports-car its own driving characteristics.
The Valour also features carbon-fibre bodywork with retro-inspired looks – borrowing design cues from the original V8 Vantage launched in 1977, and a Le Mans racing car from the same era, known as ‘The Muncher’.
Torsional rigidity is also said to have been improved, thanks in part to a rear strut brace and fuel tank bracing.

Stopping power comes courtesy of a set of carbon ceramic brake discs – 410x38mm at the front and 360x32mm at the rear – mated with six- and four-piston callipers respectively, sitting behind 21-inch lightweight forged alloy ‘Honeycomb’ wheels clad in Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tyres.
Pricing hasn’t been announced for the 2023 Aston Martin Valour, however the UK’s Autocar reports buyers will have to hand over between £1 million and £1.5 million – or approximately $AU1.9 million to $AU2.9 million.
