After previously owning a BA Falcon, when looking to upgrade my car, I couldn’t look past the 2014 Ford Falcon XR6 FG X sedan.
In Lightning Strike silver, its sharp lines and impressive looks make it stand out everywhere it goes. Inside the cabin, the car is comfortable and feels luxurious. The infotainment system, however, is a let-down as there are a lot of buttons and the voice command/voice-control recognition is sometimes a pain to use.
I have had no technical issues with this car, being a second owner doing over 30,000km. So far, I can say that this car is amazing to drive as a daily driver. It is also suitable as a weekend getaway car capable of driving down the coast, and towing the boat or box trailer when needed as well.
A more accurate and practical infotainment system would make the car more user-friendly and inviting, but for its age this car is almost flawless.
