Jeep’s quality woes continue. The latest recall covers a fault that could cause the car to roll away when left unattended.
Jeep Australia has recalled 485 examples of its 2017-2019 WJ Jeep Grand Cherokee because of a potential fault that could cause the car to roll away when left unattended – or, in government-speak, trigger “an unintended vehicle movement”.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to an issue during manufacture, the Hydraulic Control Unit Anti-lock Brake System module may not perform as intended.
“If this occurs, the brake lights may illuminate or allow the vehicle to start and shift out of park without the brake pedal being depressed.
“This may result in an unintended vehicle movement.”
