A well-known supercar collector is lucky to have survived a fiery crash in his hot pink Lamborghini, crediting recusers with his escape.
A chrome and pink 2022 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster owned by flamboyant divorce lawyer Bryan Salamone was destroyed in a road accident in the US last week.
Mr Salamone was participating in a road rally event before reportedly clipping another Lamborghini, according to website Patch. He was reportedly pulled from the wreckage before the V12 Aventador burst into flames.
Mr Salamone, who has 175,000 followers on Instagram, is perhaps best known for his collection of rare and colourful supercars, which have been featured on television shows on MTV and Netflix.
The destroyed Lamborghini had been delivered new to Mr Salamone in February 2022.
The 55-year-old is understood to use his supercars for children’s charity work, as well as entering road rally events such as the Gumball 3000.
“Bryan has ALWAYS canceled meetings to attend events for the children,” charity Smiles Through Cars wrote on Facebook.
“He has a heart of gold and needs our prayers. Please pray for his complete and speedy recovery so he can return home to continue visiting children.”
The Aventador SVJ Roadster is one of the most expensive cars to ever go on sale in Australia, costing buyers $1.04 million before on-road costs.
When the SVJ was first released in 2019, the 566kW/720Nm V12 helped the vehicle claim the fastest time for a production car at Germany’s iconic Nurburgring race track – a record that was coincidentally broken again this week by the Mercedes-AMG One, which was 14 seconds quicker than the SVJ’s 2019 time around the 20.6km circuit.
“From his heart Bryan wants to thank you all for your kindness and prayers,” a post from his Instagram account read, accompanying footage of the incident.
