GWM’s dual-cab Ute line-up now includes a new flagship Cannon Vanta variant, offering a blacked-out exterior for a $1000 premium.

The 2023 GWM Ute line-up is expanding with a new blacked-out flagship variant, arriving in Australian showrooms now.
Priced from $46,490 drive-away, the new GWM Ute Cannon Vanta builds on the existing equipment of the Ute Cannon-X, offering a number of black exterior highlights.
While the Ute Cannon-X features a number of chrome and silver exterior trim elements, the Ute Cannon Vanta swaps them for black alloy wheels, exterior badging, mirror caps, door handles, grille trim, sports bar and roof rails.
The GWM Ute was last subjected to a price rise in April – its fourth hike in eight months – although it has been unchanged since, with the Cannon 4×2 starting from $35,990 drive-away, increasing to $38,990 drive-away for the Cannon 4×4.
The better-equipped Cannon-L and Cannon-X 4×4 variants are priced from $42,490 and $45,490 drive-away respectively.
All variants are powered by a 120kW/400Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The GWM Ute range is offered with a seven-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, as well as five years of roadside assistance and capped price servicing.

Year-to-date (to the end of October 2022), GWM has sold 6292 examples of the Ute in Australia, making it the seventh best-selling light commercial vehicle in Australia. About 97 per cent of those – or 6073 – have been the three 4×4 grades.
