Live your motorsport dreams at 1:32 scale – Australia’s largest slot car racing and dragway business is for sale
Saunter into the family Christmas event this year with an air of success, proudly proclaiming that yes, you now own a motorsports facility, the largest of its kind in the country no less. Pass the mince pies.
Offered for sale for the first time, Mr Slotcar in Hallam near Melbourne, is in a custom-designed 800-square meter building and features a number of slot car tracks, drag strips and even a licenced café and function facility.
The business was established in 1994 offering portable slot car track hire and event support. In 1997 Mr Slotcar set up its first permanent raceway and in 2001 moved to a large showroom in Dandenong.
To handle growth, the team moved to the current premises in 2017 where the six and eight-lane 1:32 and 1:24 scale race tracks see bookings of casual racers, party groups, even national championship rounds.
Further, the business offers a full retail and online store for all your slot racing cars, parts and accessories.
We’re quite partial to the custom-built Mr Trax layouts that can be configured to your personal specification.
Noted as turning over approximately $400,000 per annum, and with an $88k annual lease on the building, if you are interested you can discuss purchasing the business as it sits, or even negotiate stock and other fittings into the deal.
If becoming a motorsport mogul, albeit a smallish one, has always been a dream, you can check out the listing for the business here.
