The Range Rover’s exhaust fixing brackets may not be secured properly, leading to exhaust gases leaking in the engine bay.
Jaguar Land Rover Australia has recalled 19 examples of its recently-launched, full-size 2022-2023 Range Rover, due to a manufacturing defect in the luxury SUV’s exhaust bracket fixing nuts.
The Range Rovers affected are the latest-generation vehicles, built by Land Rover for the 2022 and 2023 Model Years.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to a manufacturing defect, the exhaust bracket fixing nuts may not have been tightened to specifications and could become loose or detach over time.
“This may cause hot exhaust gas to leak into the engine bay and could result in a vehicle fire.
“A vehicle fire may increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders, and/or damage to property.”
