The life of supercar company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini is being turned into a film.
A new film depicting the life of Ferruccio Lamborghini will soon hit cinemas.
The biopic, which stars Frank Grillo as the founder of Lamborghini and Gabriel Byrne as Enzo Ferrari, has been teased in a new trailer released this week.
Written and directed by Oscar winner Bobby Moresco, Grillo is said to have replaced Antonio Banderas in the lead role, while Byrne replaced Alec Baldwin as Ferrari due to “scheduling conflicts,” The Wrap reports.
The film is reportedly based on a biography of Lamborghini’s life, written by his son Tonino.
Lamborghini’s sports car company was famously created following an argument he had with Ferrari, with the two Italian men becoming life-long rivals.
In June 2020, rumours surfaced suggesting Hugh Jackman could be playing Enzo Ferrari in his own biopic, but more recent reports suggest Adam Driver may have been tapped for the role.
No release date has been set for the Lamborghini film, but given the timing of the trailer, it could reach cinemas by 2023.
