Construction of Australia’s longest tunnel set to begin early 2023

The longest tunnel in Australia will reportedly save commuters in New South Wales “up to 30 minutes during busy periods.” The tunnel is being built between the Blue Mountains and Sydney’s West, and will be toll free. The completion date is yet to be announced. Check out the full story here.


Mercedes-Benz recalls thousands of vehicles citing brake fault

Mercedes-Benz has recalled 17,678 vehicles across its ML-Class, GL-Class, and R-Class models. The vehicles affected span Model Years 2005 to 2013 for dealer-bought cars, or up to 2016 for privately imported examples.

Tesla Cybertruck no longer available for order in Australia

The Tesla Australia website has halted orders of the Tesla Cybertruck, with customers no longer able to place $150 deposits. What was once an order tab has been replaced with a message reading “Get Updates.” Click here for the full article.


Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR breaks car sale record at $200 million

A classic Mercedes-Benz has broken the record price paid for a car, with a British billionaire purchasing the 66-year-old “Uhlenhaut”coupe for $204 million.

Hagerty UK reported his vehicle as being one of just two 1956 ‘Silver Arrow’ 300 SLR “Uhlenhaut”coupes ever manufactured – and it has now been confirmed. Read about it here.


Soviet-era car brought back to life

Russia is set to take over a factory owned by French car maker Renault. The Soviet-era Moskvitch car brand is expected to be revived, following earlier threats by the government to nationalise foreign businesses. Check out the full article here.
