What we love
  • Power
What we don’t
  • Fuel economy

The 2001 Subaru Forester GT is an overall fantastic car when it comes to space, power, handling, and ability to modify.

It’s known as the fat WRX, as it’s the same chassis but a station wagon.

In Australia, you can buy them on your P-plates because it’s under the power-to-weight ratio, just! That makes it a very popular P-plater car as it’s turbo, and who doesn’t like the sound of boost for a first car?

There’s tons of space, and you can camp in the back of it or fit all your tools easily.

As it’s an EJ20, it’s got lots of tuning options, so overall it’s awesome.
