2022 Fiat new cars

Fiat is sticking with what it knows in Australia for now, however announcements later in the year could see the introduction of new 500 variants.

Australian Fiat sales in 2021 slightly exceeded those during the 12 months prior, and were once again driven primarily by the commercial van market (79 per cent).

There are no all-new variants set for launch locally in 2022; The 500 hatchback, its performance-focused Abarth twin, and the Ducato van line-up will continue to make up the local range for the immediate future.

However, a spokesperson for the marque told Drive: “We will have some exciting [announcements] later this year.”

While so far unconfirmed, this could reference the introduction of limited-edition

variants of the existing 500 model.

A 500 Electric is still offered overseas, however there are currently no confirmed plans to bring that model Down Under.
