The Toyota HiLux posted its strongest March result of all time last month, as it got a head-start on its run to becoming the nation’s favourite vehicle for a sixth year in a row. Toyota reported 5319 examples of the HiLux ute as sold in March 2021 – defeating the the Ford Ranger in both the 4x4 and 4x2 tallies as it enjoyed good supply of the recently facelifted model – which was comfortably higher than the previous HiLux March record of 4527 set in 2019.
