Ford Mustang to go fully electric in 2029 – report

The next-generation Ford Mustang may drop its iconic V8 engine for an all-electric powertrain. According to industry news outlet Autoline, data company AutoForecast Solutions has released information on the new-gen Mustang, which could see production delayed until late 2028. The popular Ford coupe may be offered with a single, fully-electric powertrain, abandoning the petrol V8 format which has powered the Mustang since it was launched in 1965.
