Nissan Australia has issued a recall of 181 examples of its 2020 Nissan Leaf, due to an issue with the automatic gear shifter. The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says an actuator plate could fail on the Leaf, and in turn "the park lock may not engage when the user shifts into a Park position". Nissan says the fault could allow for unintended vehicle movement, with the potential to cause injury.
