US Department of Justice to investigate Nikola following fraud allegations

The United States Department of Justice has opened an investigation following a report from a research firm – known for casting doubts on other businesses for its own financial gain – made serious allegations against hydrogen-electric vehicle maker Nikola. The report, from the aptly-named Hindenburg Research, alleges a collection of "recorded phone calls, text messages, private emails, and behind-the-scenes photographs" show Nikola to be a deceptive and fraudulent venture.
