2020 Kia Seltos recalled over design compliance issue

Kia Australia has issued a recall of 2465 examples of its Seltos SUV from the 2020 model-year, citing a design compliance issue pertaining to the cars' in-built anti-theft mechanisms. The recall notice, which was lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), states the Seltos is "not compliant" with an Australian Design Rule requiring an anti-theft lock to be fitted to the steering column shaft.
