Mercedes-Benz recall 5826 X-Class utes for autonomous braking fault

Mercedes-Benz Australia has issued a recall on a total of 5826 X-Class dual-cab utes (MY2018 and MY2019), citing an issue with the active braking assistance feature. The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says the dual-cab ute's brake assist system may “mistakenly detect an obstacle and brake suddenly or unexpectedly.”
