Turbo Mazda3 outputs: 170kW/420Nm hatch confirmed

Mazda has confirmed engine outputs for its new turbocharged Mazda 3 hatch, following weeks of speculation about the model – however its Australian future remains unclear. Confirmed in a video released by Mazda Mexico, the force-fed Mazda3 will use a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine outputting 227hp (170kW) and 310ft/lb (420Nm) through a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system.
