McLaren Speedtail takes on a fighter jet

A McLaren Speedtail – the brand’s first ever hyper GT car – has been put up against a fighter jet in what might be the most expensive drag race in history. Orchestrated by the BBC’s Top Gear TV show, the £1.75 million (AU$3.4 million) Speedtail was put head to head against a roughly £100 million (AU$194 million) F35-B Lightning fighter jet for a lap of an improvised course at an airfield.
