Skoda posts strong January ahead of 'biggest ever product year'

Skoda has enjoyed a strong start to 2020, as it prepares to launch a raft of new and updated models. Despite a decline of 12.5 per cent in reported sales for January, the Czech brand grew its sales more than 30 per cent on the back of a strong month for the Octavia sedan and wagon. Sales of the Honda Civic rival jumped more than 120 per cent, while the compact Rapid hatchback doubled its tally from January 2019. The compact Karoq SUV and seven-seat Kodiaq also grew their sales.
