Hyundai to halt Korean factories due to coronavirus-led supply shortages

Hyundai has confirmed it will halt production at its car-making factories in South Korea due to a shortage of parts sourced from China, which has ordered curfews, factory shutdowns and travel restrictions in many provinces due to a deadly outbreak of a new strain of coronavirus. Speaking to Reuters an anonymous union official said Hyundai's factories will close from February 7, although some production is currently scheduled to resume on either February 12 or 13.
