Hyundai Australia appoints new CEO

Hyundai has replaced its Australian CEO, JW Lee, after three years in the role. He will move into a new "international markets role" at Hyundai Motor Company headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. Since his appointment, sales for Hyundai in Australia have fallen from 101,555 in 2016, to 97,013 in 2017, and 94,187 last year. Year-to-date in 2019 the brand is sitting on 73,944 reported sales, down 8.2 per cent on the same point in 2018, amid an overall market decline of 8 per cent.
