Volkswagen ID.3 unveiled: Up to 550km range, with a starting price under €30,000

Volkswagen has ripped the silks off its first mass market full-electric vehicle, the Volkswagen ID.3, and it's expected to kick off from under €30,000 ($48,300 AUD). The pint-sized electric car is "around the size of a Golf, with the interior space of a Passat and the acceleration of a GTI" and is based on Volkswagen's modular MEB architecture that's expected to underpin a number of Volkswagen Group electric vehicles to come.
