2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC220, E300 recalled

Mercedes-Benz has recalled four cars across the GLC220 and E300 model lines, over concerns about the crankshaft. According to the company, the affected cars could be fitted with a crankshaft bearing surface damage caused by a manufacturing error. The crankshaft could fail, causing 'sudden engine damage' that stops the car, increasing the risk of injury or accident to occupants and other road users. A total of four cars are included in the campaign – a VIN list is attached here.
