2020 Mercedes-AMG A45: 310kW/500Nm outputs confirmed

Mercedes-AMG has confirmed new details about the 'M139' four-cylinder engine that'll power the likes of the A45 and CLA45 performance models, and it's a beast. The 2.0-litre unit will offer up to 310kW of power and 500Nm of torque in its punchiest specification, making it the most powerful four-cylinder turbocharged engine in series production. It's also up 30kW and 25Nm over the outgoing engine serving in the previous-generation AMG 45 range.
