Reports of Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ's death have been greatly exaggerated

Remember those reports from earlier in the week? The ones pronouncing the Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86 dead, telling the world there won't be a second generation? Turns out those reports were a little premature. CarScoops, having reached out to Subaru USA, is running the following quote from a Subaru USA spokesperson: "We do not endorse this report coming from Japan’s Best Car,” he said. “We are moving ahead with a next-generation Subaru BRZ, but have no further details at this time.”
