Under the bonnet the Volkswagen T-Roc R features the company's 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine tuned to deliver 221kW of power and 400Nm of torque. This is channelled to the ground via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and an all-wheel drive system. The hot crossover has a claimed 0-100km/h time of 4.9 seconds, and an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h.
