2018 Audi A3 recalled

Audi Australia has recalled 55 examples of the 2018 '8V' A3 over concerns the mounting for the rear head restraints may not be correctly welded to the rear seat backrest. The German company reports "the mounting for the head restraint is not correctly welded to the outer backrest frame for the rear seat", which means the head restraint may not support and protect a passenger as intended in an accident. Audi says the fault could pose a risk of "serious injury" to the rear-seat occupants.
