Subaru has recalled the 2012/13 Impreza, Forester, and XV, along with the 2013 BRZ, over concerns about a defective engine valve spring. According to the company, there's a chance the valve spring will fracture, making the engine stall and not restart. If the car stalls unexpectedly and can't be restarted, there's a safety risk to the driver and other road users around them.
