Peugeot 508 maxed on the autobahn - video

With a trendy, compact new shape and frameless doors, there's no doubt the Peugeot 508 is a stylish customer. But its engine line-up consists only of 1.6-litre engines, which seems like minimal displacement in what should be an effortless flagship for the French brand. Turns out, the range-topping 508 GT can still shift, thanks to 169kW and 300Nm channeled through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Put through its paces on the autobahn by AutoTopNL, the sedan runs happily out to 241km/h.
