Ford Australia has issued a recall for "certain" 2017 Ecosport models over concerns a faulty front lower control arm could cause steering impairment and/or loss of power. The Blue Oval reports that improper welds are to blame for the issue, which could cause the front wheel assembly to hit the wheelhouse and the fenders. Additionally, the company says the condition could cause the front wheels to lock up, affecting steering control and a "loss of forward movement".
