Maserati’s local division has issued a recall for its Quattroporte GTS limousine over concerns a faulty wiring harness could compromise the fuel pump.
According to the Italian marque, operation of the low-pressure fuel pump could be compromised due to an open circuit in the wiring harness.
If the condition occurs, vehicles could experience a loss of engine power – even engine shut down – posing an accident risk to occupants and other road users.
Maserati says V8-powered Quattroporte GTS models are being recalled to have their low-pressure fuel pump resistors replaced.
There are 61 units affected by this recall. A VIN list for these vehicles can be viewed here.
Owners of the recalled Quattroportes will be contacted by Maserati, and are advised to make an appointment with their local dealer for the inspection and repair of their vehicle.
