2018 Mercedes-Benz A-Class teased one last time

Mercedes-Benz has offered one final look at the upcoming A-Class ahead of its reveal in Amsterdam tonight.

The brand used two videos on Facebook to build hype about the upcoming hatch and sedan, with Mercedes chief designer, Gordon Wagener, telling the audience his latest design is a sportier, more spacious take on the formula set out by the second-generation compact Benz.

An additional video highlights the voice control system in the car. The new A-Class will debut a new MBUX infotainment system for Mercedes-Benz, which relies heavily on an intelligent voice assistant capable of understanding direct commands – “change the radio station” – and more conversational remarks – “I’m too cold” – on the fly.

Along with the smart voice assistant, the car will debut a revised take on the dual-screen driver display initially launched in the S-Class and E-Class.

From the outside, the littlest Mercedes (not counting the Smart ForTwo) has been inspired by the latest CLS. Countless concepts, teasers and leaks have given us a (very, very) good idea about how it’ll look, although we’re sure Gordon Wagener and his team still have some surprises in store.

Stay tuned for our coverage of the A-Class’s reveal.
