Peugeot 3008 SUV recalled over fire risk

Peugeot Australia has recalled the 3008 SUV, over concerns about a fuel leak.

According to the company, friction may occur between the fuel tank and pipe, possibly causing a fuel leak in the process.

If a leak does occur, there’s a risk it will ignite and cause a fire, resulting in “injury or a potential accident.”

Affected cars were sold between December 1, 2016 and July 21, 2017. A total of 139 cars are being recalled – the VIN list is attached here.

Owners will be contacted by mail when parts become available, and asked to contact their nearest dealer for a fix.
