The interior of the Skoda Vision E has been sketched out ahead of the concept car’s debut at the Shanghai motor show later this month.

The Vision E concept seats four people in individual bucket seats, with each passenger presented with their own high-resolution information and entertainment interface, which can be synced up to their own smartphone.

Wedged between the dashboard and windscreen are two large rectangular screens. The one in front the driver is used primarily to display instrumentation and navigation information, while the one ahead of the front passenger allows that person to personalise their entertainment options.

Those seating in the rear have screens located in the front seat backs. Controls for these screens can be found on the relevant passenger’s armrest. In addition to these units, there’s also the now traditional touchscreen in the middle of the dashboard.

Additionally, each door has a phone box with an inductive charging element.

Last week, Skoda revealed sketches of the Vision E’s exterior, as well as details about its drivetrain.

The concept features two electric motors driving all four wheels and generating a total of 225kW of power. With a fully charged battery, the Vision E is capable of a driving range of up to 500km, and a top speed of 180km/h.

In addition to this, the Vision E is reportedly equipped with the software and hardware required for level three autonomous driving.

It’s possible that the Vision E previews the styling of the brand’s first EV, due in 2020, or the much rumoured Kodiaq Coupe.
