Swedish supercar firm Koenigsegg and Chinese-Israeli automaker Qoros are prepping a new ‘Super EV’ bound for the Shanghai motor show later this month.
According to a report by CarNewsChina, the Qoros-branded EV will be feature a fastback body with four doors and four seats, and be capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in around 3.0 seconds.
The Qoros Super EV’s range is claimed to be 500km, though there’s no word on power figures or the vehicle’s battery.
Koenigsegg and Qoros have been working together quite a bit over the last year, with the two companies announcing their partnership for the development of a high-performance four-cylinder 1.6-litre engine capable of around 400hp (298kW), along with revealed a camshaft-free engine at the 2016 Beijing motor show named ‘Qamfree’.
