The local arm of Nissan luxury marque Infiniti has appointed a new managing director, with outgoing boss Jean-Philippe Roux moving to lead the brand’s marketing efforts for the Russian market.

In his time at the top of Infiniti Australia, Roux oversaw the local launch of new Q50 variants, the big Patrol-based QX80 SUV, the small Q30 and QX30 twins, and most recently the new-generation Q60 coupe.

Replacing him is Chang-Hwan (‘CH’) Lee, coming to Infiniti Australia from the role of CEO for Infiniti Korea, a position he had held since early 2015.

With Infiniti since 2004, Lee has worked in the company’s sales, marketing, aftersales and public relations offices.

Peter Fadeyev, head of corporate communications for Nissan Australia and Infiniti Australia, is also moving on to other pastures with his appointment this week to the top of Nissan’s product communications for all of Asia and Oceania.

Fadeyev’s successor is still to be announced.

Infiniti Australia new-car registrations, year-to-date, sit at 285 – up from 191 for the same period in 2016. The ageing QX70 is its best seller, with 89 registered so far this year. The small Q30 and QX30 models follow with 76 registered in 2017.
